We further strongly encourage students among other things, to partake in UFS Taekwondo Martial Arts which we also helped to pioneer in the year 2000 while we were staying at Villa Bravado Hostel. This transpired under the exceptional leadership of Mr Paul Mona Lesaoana (a highly respected Taekwondo Black-Belt martial artist with experience of over 20 years). To date, once again since 2016, the very Martial Art still exists at UFS under the magnificent leadership of Mr Mohapi- also with international track record akin to that of his predecessor. We, like other students used to be fond of actively partaking in UFS table-tennis hostels competitions under Villa Bravado Hostel. We also used to be superbly coached by a very skilled-tactical Table Tennis player Mr Thabiso Baleni our senior then. We therefore also encourage students to partake in these campus activities. In addition we further introduced UFS Book-Club, which we voluntarily started in the year 2006 along with Dr Thabo Dehuis. We encourage students to freely join a gym activity (Insanity-Gym) we introduced at UFS Harmony Hostel in 2015 with Dr Dehuis- and Mr Thabo Mokgobo, a former UFS lecturer, in the interest to promote a healthy lifestyle.
